Following a meeting on December 1st 2020 the Committee of the Irish Field Archery Federation and the National Executive Committee of Archery Ireland have agreed to implement a reciprocal agreement.
This is a trial agreement to determine the benefit of increased collaboration between our two bodies. The arrangement once in place shall run until 31/01/2022, at which time the arrangement should be reviewed with a view to having an ongoing relationship.
- IFAF members are permitted to shoot at AI competitions and attend practice at AI clubs as guests.
- IFAF insurance will cover their members in these instances.
- IFAF members will adhere to venue, AI and World Archery rules for both practice and competitions when participating with AI clubs.
- Guests are not eligible to hold the title of National Champion and are not eligible for selection to represent Ireland or for selection to train with the National squads.
- Guests at the National Championships are not eligible to be awarded a Perpetual Trophy, should there be one for their category.
- Guests cannot claim an Archery Ireland Record at any event.
- Guests do not benefit or receive incentive awards such World Archery Performance awards or league points from any event.
- Should an Archer join Archery Ireland at a future date they cannot subsequently claim a record and/or incentives for the event (s) they entered as a Guest.
- AI members are permitted to shoot at IFAF competitions and attend practice at IFAF clubs as guests. IFAF shoots are open to all recognised Archery Organisations – this is not end dated.
- AI insurance will cover their members in these instances
- AI members will adhere to venue, IFAF and IFAA rules and protocols for both practice and competitions.
- Guests at the National Championships are not eligible to be awarded a Perpetual Trophy, should there be one for their category.
- Guests cannot claim an IFAF Record at any event.
- Guests do not benefit or receive incentive awards such as Gains to earn badges or League points from any event.
- Should an Archer join IFAF at a future date they cannot subsequently claim a record and/or incentives for the event (s) they entered as a Guest.
- UKIFAC. The one exception to this agreement is UKIFAC. Eligibility rules for this event state that entrants must be members of one of the five UKIFAC associations to participate in the championship or a member in good standing of another IFAA association to participate as a guest.
