The IFAF Committee are excited to announce a new initiative we believe will give more clubs, who may wish to host an IFAF National Championships event the opportunity to do so.
IFAF will provide the host club with €1300 for the Field & Bowhunter Championships (€1000 plus €300 for toilets*) and €1000 for the Indoor Championships (venue paid directly by IFAF), IFAF will cover the costs for the medals/awards, costs of collecting money and promoting the event via email and our website and social media channels.
The hosting club will provide the course(s) for the event on the given days, marshal & administration for the tournament. The National Championship host can also look to IFAF for support with course set up, event set up, targets and bosses, we can ask other member clubs to lend/lease targets if required.
Profit Share: After expenses have been cleared there will be a 50/ 50 split between IFAF & the Championship hosting Archery club.
We believe this initiative opens up the hosting of the National Championships to new venues and new possibilities. Giving more IFAF Archery Clubs the means to host the championships with input from experienced people & by removing the financial burden. If the event is a loss, it’s IFAF’s loss.

Championships Coordinator – A non-committee position focused on supporting the planning and delivery of championship events.
The Championships Coordinator will assist with the planning, coordination, and delivery of championship events throughout the year. The Championships Coordinator will work closely with the committee & host clubs to ensure events run smoothly and meet the standards expected by our members.
Key responsibilities include:
- Liaising with host clubs to support event logistics
- Assisting with scheduling and communications
- Helping ensure consistency in event formats and procedures
- Ensuring all National Championships be held on a completely new unshot course.
- Supporting the promotion of championship events

*IFAF will cover up to €300 for the cost of hiring or servicing portaloos, if the club has its own facilities. Reimbursement for toilet facilities will be provided upon submission of a receipt confirming payment to the IFAF Treasurer. Alternatively, the IFAF can cover the cost of sanitary services directly, through an invoice submitted by the supplier to the IFAF Treasurer.
