To Set up your coaching license you need to complete and update 4 coaching sections.

- Coaching Qualification
- Safeguarding L1 minimum
- Coaching Logs
Garda Vetting
Search your email for an email titled “Vetting Request <request number>” from evetting.donotreply@garda.ie
The email should have the text
“The vetting application made in respect of you has been completed and a disclosure has been made to Cork Volunteer Centre“
Make note of the date and the Application Number ( redacted section highlighted with a red circle )
Log in to the membership portal

Select your profile under Athletes
- Select “Garda Check Certificates” on the left had side
- Click on the Garda Vetting Check on the right had side
- Enter your Application number as the Certificate Number
- Enter the date of the mail as the Date issued
- Select ADD
A conformation box will pop up.
press “OK”
You will be returned to the Garda Check Certificates screen.
Your vetting will be in a Pending Approval status
Coaching Qualification
- Select Coaching Qualifications on the left hand side
- Select “+ ADD COACH QUALIFICATION”
- Press the “Select a Coach Qualification” button
- Select your coaching qualification
- Enter the date the cert was issued
- Press next
- Select the Choose File and upload your certificate
- Select add
A conformation box will pop up.
press “OK”
You will be returned to the Coach Qualifications screen.
Your qualification will be in a Pending Approval status
Safeguarding
- Select Qualifications from the left hand menu
- select “+ ADD QUALIFICATION”
- select ADD next to certification
- Select the Qualification type menu
- select the Safeguarding level acquired
- Enter the date Achieved
- press next
- Upload your certificate
- Press next
A conformation box will pop up.
press “OK”
You will be returned to the Qualifications screen.
Your qualification be in a Pending Approval status
Coaching Logs
L1 and L2 coaches are required to upload coaching logs for IFAF to review every year.
L3 and L4 will need to upload a dummy file to the system in order for the system to process the coaching license.
New L1s that don’t have a coaching log book will all so have to upload a dummy file to the system to process the coaching license.
- Select Coaching Log Books from the left hand side
- Select “+ADD COACHING LOG BOOK”
- select the Log book year
- select NEXT
- Select choose file and upload your logbook
- Select ADD
A conformation box will pop up.
press “OK”
You will be returned to the Coaching Logbook screen.
Your Log book will be in a Pending Approval status
Coaching Licenses
Once all your submissions have been approved.
- Select Coaching Licenses from the left hand side
- Select “+ADD COACHING LICENCE”
- Enter the Level of coaching qualification attained.
- Enter the date you obtained your coaching qualification
- Press add
Your Coaching license has now been added.
